ix. Divine Longing

Though they are betrothed, the Bride has not yet made herself ready, not yet clothed herself with white linen as it was given her to do.1Revelations 9:17-18 NASB So the Maker must bide time. Heart overflowing with a good theme, having the pen of a ready writer,2Psalm 45:1 NKJV the Maker records the longing that marks the ages-long wait.

Calling Out Your Name

I will keep you and give you-3Isaiah 42:6  NKJV
I will keep you in the still place by my side,
in the soft shadow of my wing;
I will give you, from a heart yearning to overflow;
I will both gather you and pour you out.

Patterned into every facet of this universe made for you,
Etched in every leaf and stone and marked in your name
Is my gathering love and generous purpose

O Yara Shalem, Yara Shalem, how often have I longed
to gather you as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
4Luke 13:34

Yara Shalem
I have felt your name leave my tongue,
fall from my lips a thousand times in the unslumbering night.

Just as a mother longs with love
to surround the child of her womb,
to fill empty arms with one who receives her love
So I yearn over the one I knit together
in the slow, still womb time
Come, fill my arms. Come, receive my love.

In that day I will rejoice over you with joy;
I will rest in my love;
I will joy over you with singing
5Zephaniah 3:17 KJV

O Yara Shalem, I appear to you from afar, saying
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.
6Jeremiah 31:3 NASB

Yara Shalem, look forth as the morning,
Fair as the Moon,
Clear as the Sun,7Song of Solomon 6:10 NKJV
Accept my love.

Yara Shalem, let me to show you
the exceeding riches of my grace,
Allow me to show my kindness to you,
8Epehesians 2:7 NKJV
Be mine: my desire is for you.
9Song of Solomon 7:10 NASB

Ode of love, passionately poured out to clothe, wrap around & enfold the lover

“Heart overflowing, passionately and joyfully expressed longing of love. The Lover pours out His heart in words, wrapping His lover in His expressions of affection and devotion as He eagerly awaits the time to come for His bride to be ready.”
